Interdisciplinary Unit – Design & PHE

Dear Teachers

In today’s increasingly digital world, keeping children and adolescents physically active has become more pressing than ever. Sedentary lifestyles are leading to a rise in health issues like obesity, cardiovascular diseases, and mental health concerns. To address this, our interdisciplinary unit leverages the power of technology to reinvigorate physical activity through the creation of striking and fielding games. By integrating the disciplines of Physical and Health Education (PHE) and Design, students will develop innovative, age-appropriate games for younger peers, blending physical and digital elements. This unit not only fosters creativity and teamwork but also emphasizes the importance of active play for lifelong well-being.
