Creating IB MYP UNIT Plan
Today I will share all the resources I use to create a unit plan. Starting from the IB MYP PHE GUIDE, a document with global context and areas of exploration, Approaches to Learning and GRASPS to make your authentic summative assessment.
In case you have a question on how to use the resources please share in the comments I will be happy to clarify.
1. MYP PHE GUIDE
You will find most of the information you need to create your unit in the PHE Guide, but for this case, the highlight is the key concepts and related concepts.
2. GLOBAL CONTEXT - AREA OF EXPLORATION
This document has the definitions of each global context with questions that will help you to have a better understanding of how to explore them. You also have samples of areas of exploration that you can use for your unit, or you can create your own.
3. APPROACHES TO LEARNING
For each approach to learning, you will find specific areas that you can teach your students..
4. APPROACHES TO LEARNING
A great tool to create an authentic summative assessment, it will explain to you how to come up with a Goal, Role, Audience, Situation, Product and Standards.
